Optional: explore the map and placement preferences ↓

Have your business name, contact details, US mailing address (street, city, state and ZIP), and applicable license numbers and expiration dates ready. You can submit pending information for staff review; participation requires approval.

Optional: choose a placement preference

Prefer to let HSE assign your space? Skip this map and apply. Otherwise choose your category and section; a specific position is optional.

Example layout, not the final Day of the Dead map. Colors do not show availability. Choosing a preference does not reserve a space; other vendors can request it too.

Choose your category to see the full-event base fee.

One-day attendance, dessert / drink pricing and any nonprofit reduction require HSE review. Information-only describes your activity; it does not automatically mean a free booth.

Non-food spaces: 10 × 10 ft. Truck space depends on vehicle size and clearance. HSE confirms Artisan Lane eligibility. This example cannot be used to measure space.

Choose a category, then explore

Hover or focus a map label for details; click to request that reference position. Details stay here so adjacent labels remain visible.

Specific position or $150 upgrade (optional)

A $150 upgrade is separate from the base fee and requires HSE confirmation and verified payment. It covers agreed position characteristics, not exact coordinates. Small operational shifts may occur; if HSE cannot provide the agreed position, HSE refunds the upgrade amount actually paid.

Copy, open the appropriate application below, then paste into “Booth or section preference (optional).” Your application answers must match your actual activity.

Choose information-only only if you have no sales, rentals, paid services, product orders, deposits, or food / drink service or sampling. The map does not save answers or collect payment.

What happens after I apply?

Finish the form and select Submit. “Next” or saving progress does not submit an application. Look for the on-screen application-received message.

HSE reviews your details and contacts you using the email or phone you provided. If approved, HSE matches your prior payment or gives you payment instructions, then confirms placement and arrival details. Applying or paying alone does not confirm a specific booth.

Need to change an application? Contact HSE instead of submitting it again. Include the event, business name, application email and what needs to change.

Business details, licensing and documents
  • Business details: the initial application asks for your business name, primary contact, event days and US mailing address (street, city, state and ZIP). HSE follows up on any additional operational information needed before clearance.
  • Reno business licensing: non-food vendors must provide their applicable City of Reno business license or request staff-approved temporary city-permit coverage for an additional $40. Food vendors must have their own current City of Reno business license; the $40 temporary coverage is not available for food businesses. Give the license number and expiration date when claiming a current license, and supply PDF or photo proof before approval; HSE will arrange verification. A Sparks license does not satisfy this Reno event’s requirement. A request, payment or pending license does not establish approved coverage.
  • Nevada sales-tax status: HSE reviews the relevant seller’s permit or reporting status during staff follow-up before clearance; these are not initial public-form questions. Tax and local licensing are separate reviews. Nonprofit status does not automatically make sales exempt, and a nonprofit reduction requires staff review of the relevant evidence.
  • Food trucks: participation requires your own current City of Reno business license and a current applicable NNPH mobile food permit for the actual truck, with numbers, expiration and supporting evidence reviewed. Temporary city-permit coverage and temporary food permits are not eligible for food businesses. Pending information can be submitted for review but does not approve participation. HSE follows up on primary menu, vehicle dimensions including hitch/operating clearance, and service side before clearance and placement. Staff confirms menu categories; this event allows at most two primarily taco trucks.
  • Private documents: HSE will give instructions for supporting evidence. Do not enter Social Security numbers, federal EINs, tax-account passwords, card details or official tax returns in this application. Application and event-reporting information may be shared with relevant agencies or the venue when needed for event administration or reporting.
Event sales reporting

HSE will confirm the reporting requirements for your actual activity and provide the applicable official event paperwork and checkout instructions. Participating sellers must complete, sign and return the required event sales report before leaving on their final participation day, including when no payment is due to HSE.

This website does not calculate, collect or settle event sales tax. Follow HSE’s approved instructions for your reporting status; do not pay the same tax to both HSE and Nevada. Temporary-seller tax review is separate from the ban on temporary food permits.

Notify HSE before changing your selling business, activities, participation dates or permit status. Changes require review and do not automatically retain prior clearance.

Booth sizes, placement and the $150 upgrade

Non-food spaces are 10 × 10 feet. Truck clearance depends on the actual vehicle and service side. Artisans use Artisan Lane; commercial booths may use either eligible section.

Placement preferences are optional. HSE can assign a suitable space. If you use the map, copy your preference into Booth or section preference (optional) in your application. Use that single optional field to describe your preferred section or position and any upgrade request; HSE confirms the details during follow-up. Ordinary preferences remain available for other vendors to request. HSE assigns the final layout; this application does not offer automatic live booth reservations.

An optional $150 position upgrade requires HSE availability confirmation and verified payment. It covers agreed position characteristics, such as an entrance end cap, rather than exact coordinates. Small operational shifts may occur. If HSE cannot provide the agreed position, HSE refunds the upgrade amount actually paid.

Current store pricing and staff-approved quotes apply. One-day attendance requires approval. A request for a reduction or upgrade does not approve it.

Arrival and event operations

HSE’s designated day-of lead directs load-in and on-site placement. Follow your confirmed arrival slot. If you miss it, HSE will try to accommodate you, but a missed or late arrival has no base-fee refund.

A second late arrival across HSE events results in a $250 fee before working with HSE again.

Corrections and outstanding information can still be reviewed after new applications close. Do not send sensitive tax identifiers, tax returns or card details by email. Follow HSE’s instructions for supporting documents. Existing purchases and received applications remain on record; do not pay the base fee again.
